Genius and Soul is a weekly show that features a series of mixes from guest deejays from jazz and Black classical music to the many styles and branches of today’s scene. Our show’s efforts include fundraising for the Jazz Foundation of America and other relevant charitable organizations.

Fitz Gitler

The son of jazz historian, teacher, and producer Ira Gitler, Fitz grew up immersed in music. He served as a DJ and program director for WCNI, New London, and has since been a DJ, writer, sound designer, and producer of music and remixes. Also a graphic designer, Fitz is particularly proud of his work for 50 Miles of Elbow Room.

Jason is currently the Music Director at Bondfire Radio in Brooklyn, NY, where he hosts his Both Sides Of The Surface radio show.  He was also the World Music Community Blogger for the 52nd Annual GRAMMY Awards in 2010 and a contributing writer for Impose Magazine and the Podmass column for The A/V Club. A long-time podcaster and music enthusiast, Jason considers Prince Rogers Nelson and Frank Vincent Zappa his sonic bookends and continues to treat album liner notes as if they’re canonized literature.

Joseph has been a radio deejay and podcaster for more than half his life. He produced solipsistic NATION, a show that featured the best of all electronic music genres. He currently produces Soundwave, a show dedicated to ambient, classical, experimental, and instrumental music.
